Introduction:
Supersymmetric indices have been important for understanding strong coupling phenomena, dualities, as well as counting black hole microstates through holography. Giant gravitons are D-branes in AdS space, studied in the early days of AdS/CFT correspondence, and have seen some recent revivals. Finally, matrix models appear as a powerful tool for many relevant calculations.
In this context, we are organizing the mini advanced workshop on "Supersymmetric indices, giant gravitons, and matrix models", scheduled from December 4 to 9, 2025.
In this workshop, we explore the interconnections between these topics. We aim to bring together some active experts who have been instrumental in these recent developments. The workshop has a relaxed style with a one week duration and at most two talks per day, providing opportunities for meaningful communication and collaboration.
