Abstract: Computational algebraic geometry and integrable models seem to be two unrelated subjects. However, in recent years, it has been shown that ideas and methods from computational algebraic geometry can play a powerful role in the study of integrable models. The combination of the two subjects has led to the development of new analytical approaches to compute physical quantities in integrable quantum spin chains, which gives novel analytical results that have not been obtained before. In this talk, I will explain the basic ideas of algebro-geometric approach to integrable spin chains and introduce recent developments in this direction.
