The quantization of gravity remains one of the central challenges in contemporary theoretical physics. Among various approaches, superstring theory stands out as the most compelling candidate for a consistent quantum theory of gravity, with its low-energy effective description governed by supergravity. In recent years, notable progress has been achieved in constructing new supergravity models and applying them to key areas such as precision tests of the AdS/CFT correspondence and the microscopic understanding of black hole entropy.

In this context, the organization of the “New Frontiers in Supergravity, Strings, and Related Topics” workshop is both timely and significant. It aims to foster meaningful communication and collaboration within the research community, while also offering domestic scholars a valuable opportunity to engage with cutting-edge international developments in the field.

The Interdisciplinary Center for Theoretical Study (ICTS) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the newly established Peng Huanwu Center for Fundamental Theory (PCFT) will host the workshop.
